SAFE AND SOUND PROTOCOL (SSP)

Are you struggling with auditory sensitivity, processing challenges, or nervous system dysregulation?

Introducing our Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) package, designed to support your sensory processing and emotional well-being.

What is the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)?

The SSP is developed by Dr. Stephen Porges the creator of the Poly Vagal Theory in connection with Unyte. It is backed by extensive research and is a powerful therapeutic listening program that helps improve auditory processing, reduce auditory sensitivity, and regulate the nervous system. As a certified SSP provider, Bethany is here to guide you through this transformative journey.

Highlights of the SSP:

A 5-hour auditory intervention developed and patented by Dr. Stephen Porges, author of the Polyvagal Theory. Designed to reduce sound sensitivity, and improve auditory processing and behavioral state regulation. Activates the client’s social engagement system, helping to accelerate and enhance therapeutic outcomes. Supports physiological state regulation, allowing for greater resilience.

How SSP Works:

Therapeutic Listening: SSP uses specially designed music that stimulates the Vagus nerve and improves the functioning of the autonomic nervous system. This process helps calm the body’s response to stress and enhances social engagement.

Nervous System Regulation: By modulating auditory input, SSP promotes a state of safety and relaxation, allowing the nervous system to reset and function more effectively.

Five hours of therapeutic music with hours 3-5 increasing in filtration to increase nervous system threshold.

Your Journey:

  1. Pre-Assessment: Before starting the SSP program, we’ll conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand your unique needs and set a baseline for progress tracking.
  2. SSP Sessions: You’ll engage in a series of therapeutic listening sessions for a total of 30 minutes with 5 hours in total listening, carefully monitored and tailored to your comfort level.
  3. Post-Assessment: After completing the program, we’ll re-evaluate to measure improvements and guide your next steps.
  4. Check-In Sessions: Bethany will provide pre and post check-in sessions to discuss your experiences, address any concerns, and celebrate your progress.
  5. Convenient and Flexible: Can be done remotely, fitting into your schedule.

Is This Program for You?

  1. Do you find yourself easily overwhelmed by noises or struggle with sound sensitivity?
  2. Are you looking for ways to enhance your emotional regulation and overall well-being?
  3. Do you experience challenges with auditory processing that affect your daily life?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, our Safe and Sound Protocol package is designed specifically for you.

Transformation Through SSP:

With the SSP program, it supports you to process external cues and signals more effectively, and attain a grounded state in which you feel safe and receptive. This is an evidence-based and trauma-informed listening therapy. The SSP helps shift the nervous system to be more present and regulated through activating the vagal nerve. This shift allows you to:

  1. Experience reduced anxiety and stress
  2. Improve social engagement and communication
  3. Enhance focus and attention
  4. Feel more connected and in tune with your environment
